eDPI stands for effective DPI. In CS2, it’s calculated by multiplying mouse DPI by in-game sensitivity.

What Does eDPI Stand For?
-
What Is the Difference Between eDPI and DPI?
DPI is a mouse setting, while eDPI combines that DPI with CS2 sensitivity. This makes eDPI more useful when comparing sensitivity between players or different mouse settings.

Does the eDPI Calculator Take Windows Sensitivity Into Account?
No. The calculator uses mouse DPI and CS2 sensitivity for the eDPI calculation. Windows pointer sensitivity isn’t part of the standard eDPI formula.
About
What Is eDPI in CS2
eDPI in CS2 is a value that combines mouse DPI with in-game sensitivity. It’s calculated by multiplying DPI by sensitivity, which makes it possible to compare overall sensitivity between different setups. For example, 400 DPI with 2.0 sensitivity and 800 DPI with 1.0 sensitivity both equal 800 eDPI. The same eDPI produces the same base turning sensitivity when the other relevant settings remain unchanged. eDPI is useful in several common situations:
- Copying pro player settings: Copying sensitivity alone isn’t enough if the player uses a different mouse DPI. eDPI makes it possible to reproduce the same base sensitivity with another DPI value.
- Changing mouse DPI: When DPI is changed, in-game sensitivity can be recalculated to preserve the same eDPI and keep the same base turning sensitivity.
- Comparing sensitivity setups: eDPI provides one value for comparing different DPI and sensitivity combinations, including personal settings and configurations used by professional players.
How to Use
The calculator provides three ways to work with CS2 sensitivity:
- eDPI Calculator: Calculates eDPI and movement distance using the current mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity.
- Find Sensitivity: Calculates the sensitivity required for a selected mouse DPI and target cm/360°.
- Change DPI: Recalculates sensitivity after changing DPI while preserving the same overall sensitivity.
After selecting a mode, enter the required values in its fields. The calculator will then show the calculated sensitivity, eDPI, or movement distance depending on the selected mode.
Setting | What It Does |
|---|---|
Mouse DPI | Sets the DPI currently used by the mouse. |
Sensitivity | Sets the current CS2 in-game sensitivity. |
Sensitivity Format | Selects the format used for the sensitivity value. |
Zoom Sensitivity Ratio | Sets the sensitivity multiplier used while zoomed. It doesn’t change base eDPI. |
Mousepad Width, CM | Adds the physical mousepad width for movement-distance calculations. |
Target CM/360° | Sets the required mouse movement for one complete 360-degree turn. |
Old DPI | Sets the DPI used before changing the mouse setting. |
New DPI | Sets the DPI that will be used after the change. |
Old Sensitivity | Sets the sensitivity used with the previous DPI. |
Effective DPI (eDPI) | Shows the combined value of mouse DPI and CS2 sensitivity. |
CM/360° | Shows how many centimetres of mouse movement are required for a full turn. |
IN/360° | Shows the same full-turn distance in inches. |
Degrees/In | Shows how many degrees the view turns per inch of mouse movement. |
