How to Configure a CS2 Crosshair
The controls adjust the crosshair properties that determine its appearance and behavior in CS2. Every change appears immediately in the live preview, while different backgrounds help check whether the selected color, outline, thickness, and transparency remain visible against bright walls, dark areas, and mixed map textures. After the crosshair has been configured, all selected values are converted into a share code that can be copied and imported through the in-game Share or Import field. This transfers the complete configuration without requiring each parameter to be entered separately.
CS2 Crosshair Parameters
Each control changes a specific visual or behavioral property of the crosshair. The preview helps test the complete configuration before the generated share code is imported into CS2.
Crosshair parameter
What it changes
Usage guidance
Follow Recoil
Moves the crosshair according to the weaponâs recoil during sustained fire.
Enable it when visual recoil feedback is required. Disable it when a fixed central reference is preferred.
Center Dot
Adds a dot to the exact center of the crosshair.
Use it for a defined central point. Keep it small enough to avoid covering enemy models at long range.
Length
Changes the length of the crosshair lines.
Short lines cover less of the target. Longer lines are easier to locate during fast mouse movements.
Thickness
Changes the width of the crosshair lines.
Increase it when thin lines merge with map textures. Reduce it when the crosshair covers too much of the enemy model.
Gap
Changes the distance between the crosshair lines and the center.
Use a smaller gap for a compact central reference. Increase it when more of the target should remain visible between the lines.
Outlines
Enables or disables the dark border around the crosshair lines and center dot.
Enable it when the selected color merges with bright or similarly colored surfaces. Disable it when the border makes the crosshair too large.
Outline Thickness
Changes the width of the enabled outline.
Use a low value to separate the crosshair from the background without significantly increasing its total size.
Color
Sets a custom color in the generator through the color picker or a HEX value. The selected color is included in the generated share code.
Compare the color against bright, dark, and mixed backgrounds. Choose a value that remains visible across different map textures.
Alpha
Enables or disables the use of the opacity selected under Alpha Value in the generated configuration.
Enable it when custom opacity is required. Disable it when the crosshair should remain fully opaque.
Alpha Value
Sets crosshair opacity from 0 to 255. A value of 0 makes the crosshair invisible, while 255 makes it fully opaque.
Use a high value for stable visibility. Reduce it only when partial transparency is required.
T Style
Removes the upper crosshair line and creates a T-shaped configuration.
Enable it when the area above the center should remain open. Disable it for a symmetrical four-line crosshair.
Deployed Weapon Gap
Allows the gap to change according to the equipped weapon.
Disable it to retain the same gap across weapons. Enable it when weapon-specific gap changes are preferred.
